IP VIDEO SURVEILLANCE

The quality of videos in digital TV cameras is by now equal to that of typical analogue cameras.
This fact makes possible the IP video surveillance, that is the CCTV images' distribution over local area networks or internet.
The employ of digital TV cameras is however limited by the
reduced trasmission's distance of the ethernet protocol and by his
sensibility to RF noises.
Thanks to plastic fiber it is possibile to increase transmission's distance from 200m up to over 1000m.
| Resolution | 5 Frame/s | 15 Frame/s | 30 Frame/s |
| 800x600 (0.5 Mpxl) | 0,6 Mbps | 1,9 Mbps | 3 Mbps |
| 1280x1024 (1,3 Mpxl) | 1 Mbps | 3 Mbps | 6 Mbps |
| 1600x1200 | 6 Mbps | 9 Mbps | 19Mbps |
Table: bandwidth occupancy for video signals at different resolutions
As you can see on the table, most of digital TV cameras has a
bandwidth occupancy lower than 10 Mbps.
Thanks to a
10 Mbps Ethernet converter for plastic fiber it is possible to transmit perfect images at distances up to 200m on a single trade.
The same device works also as an optical repeater, allowing to extend the
maximum distance up to over 1km through single trades of 200m.
A common cable cat.5e can't neither overcome 100m nor be laid in
conduits holding electric cables. Moreover it is
vulnerable to noises coming from cables that are in proximity and that cause images "in jerks".
Our
câble hybride HyPer contains, in the same jacket, both the electric wires for power supply and the plastic fiber for signal, extending the IP video surveillance potential and overcoming the limits of the old technology.
